Alila Diwa Goa Review – My Experience at Alila Diwa Goa
I stayed at Alila Diwa for a business trip for just a day and was left wanting more of it. The location of Alila Diwa is away from the bustling Goa streets and instantly has a relaxing effect on you as you enter the resort. The reception area is open and breezy with lots of natural elements fused in with the contemporary yet one-with-nature design. Water and greens have been incorporated in a clever manner to give the guests a cooling and relaxing feel. The Gonsua beach in Majorda is also close by and to get a flavour of Goa and its beaches you can take an evening stroll to visit the ocean waves or ride / drive down in 2 minutes.
Alila Diwa, although has enough to keep you busy for a couple of days without you even wanting to step out of the resort. True to its philosophy, it is full of surprises ! The infinity pool and spa are also a treat to the eye and look extremely inviting. Although, I was too busy to experience these, I did meet up with the lady who runs the spa at Alila Diwa and she was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I was looking for. I wish I had given in to another day of relaxation post work but sadly, that wasn’t the situation.
There were two spaces for dining in the alila diwa goa restaurant- an open and breezy space with the same water and green elements of design and the enclosed AC space for buffet breakfast. Both the alila diwa goa food menu and the service was impeccable.
But by far, my favourite space was my cosy room. I had booked a terrace room with a garden view and a shower and bathtub for one. The room was the real surprise for me. It had sliding door concept that would enclose the bath area from the bedroom if required. Otherwise it could just be left open while you enjoyed your hot water bath and relax in the bathtub watching TV or the garden view outside from your room. The room was not very large but the open balcony with with green view and the sliding door option inside the room lent the space a huge and airy feel. The miror design on the door also added to the feel. I fell in love with design as soon as I stepped into the room. The resort and the room design style reminded me of the time I had visited Bali.

Being a luxury resort, the rooms have all toiletries, appliances and amenities that one expects. I am definitely going back to Alila Diwa for a relaxing romantic time with the boy.
FINAL VERDICT on my Alila Diwa Goa stay: Love. Love. Love. Forget Goa, Alila Diwa makes for a Staycation on its own !
